Back by popular demand, this Matapihi shirt is an artist's impression of a railway bridge in Tauranga, New Zealand.
Matapihi is an elevated peninsula, the word meaning 'window' in Te Reo Maori. Mata means 'eyes/face' and pihi means 'small shoot' (plant). It is named this because of higher vantage point seeing any incoming wake/enemy wake that would enter the harbour, Waipu Bay and Rangataua Harbour.
The sharp contrast and distinctive symmetry makes this unique design perfect for every day casual wear and will make you stand out as the one of a kind human that you are.
Please note: this is a print on demand service with fulfilment from Europe and the US. Due to Covid-19, we have experienced some delay in shipping. Thanks for your patience.
